One more exceptional piece from two Year 4 students:
Well done to all the children involved and all the others who have been making short films too. These movies were 100% filmed, uploaded, edited and saved by the children themselves.
In digital leaders we have been doing movie making. We have been learning about continuity. Continuity is when movies cut from one scene to another. We don't like to show a clip for more than eight seconds. We used the iPads to film our short action clips with continuity.
Hi, this is Sir Ronald.
For the past few weeks in digital leaders we have been learning how to make
movies. First we had to film about 5 different cuts of a movement from
different angles on the iPad. Then we went on the computer to windows movie
maker and we had to crop the bits that we did not need to make good continuity.
Continuity-
To make several cuts and put them together at different angles.
In movie
making I like to crop and rotate them to different angles. It is really fun to
make movies because you learn new stuff while having fun. You can make all
types of movies.
For this week, we are all learning to post on a BlogSpot and learning all about it.
Blogging is fun and is important to know if you want to be a blogger or a reporter. It makes you a good writer and you get better at typing. This is just like an online diary.
This week we are learning to write and post on a blog and are trying to debug the blog. I think this will be useful for me when i'm older because if I want to start a online blog or dairy it will help me learn create, start and finish a post.
This week we are going to learn about posting stuff on our blog with our teacher called Mr Cusack.
We think that this is an useful thing to do because later on in the future it can be useful. If we make our own blog and want to publish stuff we will know how to do it.
By: Cool girl.
Hi, this week we are learning to post and Blogging.
I am learning to make a new post with the blog of Digital Leaders.
I think that posting is useful because I can inform parents of our school and how we learn in Digital Leaders. I also think it is useful because I can keep record of what I have posted. Mr Cusack and Mrs Raval are my excellent teachers who teach me how to post.
At the moment we are learning to post blog posts. I think this is a great way to show our work to the world. This is also a way for parents to know about what we are learning in Digital Leaders.I can also keep track of what we've done for the time being. Yours sincerely Infernite10
At digital leaders, we've been learning how to blog. Letting the children blog takes a weight off the teachers shoulders and will help the children in future learning(a learning curve). Teachers will have more time to get on with more important things. e.g. marking books, teaching children and reading.
I am learning how to do this because it will be useful for when I am older and people ask me how to post stuff on the school blog. Also I can help people.
Hey. What's up everybody. This is Mr Angry Nuggethead and I am in n the Digital Leaders Club. This MY Avater..
The reason I am using an avatar is because when I am online I don't want anyone to know my real identity. Anyway these are some of the exciting we are going to do:
My name is Infernite10. I am a member of this years Digital Leaders club. This is my avatar:
I am using an avatar because when I am online I don't want people to know who I am.

Learning to code... Flappy Birds!
Flappy Birds has been a big app sensation over the past year with children in school talking about it quite often. Good news for our budding programmers at John Bramston, the wonderful website of www.code.org has added a short module where you can build your own version of the popular game. Here are just a few examples of some of the Flappy Birds games designed by John Bramston students:
In Digital Leaders we are learning how to use Scratch. We are also building An Arcade Machine for school, our new codes that we are learning are code.org, light bot, and how to update this very blog.
